Rub a dub dub

The first match:

BZI: luna, jh, Admirarch
DUB: Blue Eyes, Mr Molez, Viking

This match started badly: very badly. Within what seemed like seconds we were two captures down and staring a heavy defeat in the face. I was floundering around in the middle of nowhere, luna was vaguely trying to put up some resistance and jh seemed to be somewhere else entirely. When luna declared "I lag" and jh "I suck" the match looked pretty much over.

Out of nowhere a capture, a glimmer of hope, a chance of a comeback. Steeling all my resolve and striking my most Churchillian pose I declared, in what, had we not gone on to lose 3-1, would have gone down as one of the most truly inspiring lines in bzflag, "Lagger, Sucker: we're still in this". Inevitably nothing could compare to this moment and the match sort of went downhill from there.

Swapping lagger for Sportchick, as his lag was getting too out of hand we continued on to a rematch.

i didnt play but i watched so i thought i would report this same time as others. obviosly bzi played very well together winning dub in amazing way 3-0:P.

score: 2-2 tie
we were close to a 2-1 win but last seconds dubbers managed to score one more which was ofcourse most annoying to us.

no real highlights, second match was harder though.

a very exciting match, untamed almost got their second but we dragged the flag away from them and were close to capping 3rd just before end. was fun.

BZI vs DUB some more

Allow me to take you back a mere 24 hours to the thoroughly memorable drubbing of SNT by BZI and my somewhat confusing report. Now as I had suspected he would be tokimi was rather annoyed on waking up to discover the score, even going as far as threatening to kill almost everybody within sight. As such we were berated and rather firmly told to stop getting soundly beaten by everybody else, letting our ELO rating drop through the floor and then beating or drawing with SNT.

So I arrived on dub 59998 to find jh and Thonolan getting soundly beaten by dub in typical SNT annoying fashion and began to fear for my life. No sooner than thonolan and I had arranged for a rematch tokimi appeared on the sidelines looking imposing. Fearing for our lives we proceded to massacre the innocent dubians and though the appearance of Zongo late on slowed down the rampage we still ran out handsome winners.

DUB naturally came out for revenge which they managed in good style.

Dub dominated from the start and had a handsome 5-1 lead when I had to drop out along with Birdie due to my periodic lag issues. Birdie later re-entered along with Sweating bullets with about 7 minutes to go. Things continued much in this vein after that point with an eventual final score of 10-3 to DUB.
