SNT kicked our butt - Part 2

bzi: Admir & SC
snt: toki & hiya
length: 15
score: SNT 6-0

Clearly, dropping to a 2v2 didn't make much difference.

SNT kicked our butt

Not much to say, really. They were just better.

Us: SC, Admir, me
Them: tokimi, hiya, beanpole
Duration: 30 mins
Score: 9-0

If tokimi considers this a "hard" match, I would NOT like to see an easy one :)

SNT

bzi: Thono & SC
SNT: orange & tokimi
Length: 15
Final: 6-0

The Saints won fair and square. We had not much to give in this one. Next time, however, they won't win so easily.

First time (Match against SNT)

Us: Thonolan, [dmp]
Them bad guys: Hiya, Your Best Friend
Duration: 15
Score: 2-2

We won. Well, almost. It was my first match against YBF and first match with Thonolan. They got a quick score, and 3-4 mins later a second one. We kept fighting just to at least get that one point - so show that we did shoot back. And we did, got two of them. Within the last 15 seconds I could pick up the flag and head home. However, with 10 seconds it was possible. With YBF I was dead. So it was a tie.

Good game. We, almost, won :)

Barons and saints

It's come to my attention that SNT is a silly name, you can't pronounce it and it certainly isn't a word. As such I feel it's my public duty to, at least for the duration of this post, refer to them as Shiny And Irritating New Tanks, or Saints. This is a word, can be pronounced and fits in nicely with a medieval theme I've got going in this post.

First up, Barons!

BZI: Admirarch, Sweating bullets
Barons: The orbitskit gestalt
Barons win 10-1 then 10-0
Both 30 minute matches

The first match we really didn't manage to put up a fight, just continuously run in caps until the barons got bored and allowed us to slip in for one
The second match we put up a good fight for the first ten minutes though the barons were still in control. Beyond this point it was much the same as the first though without us earning a consolation cap which would have been more deserved this time.

Saints: hiya, orange
BZI: Admirarch, Sweating Bullets
BZI win 2-1
15 minute match

SNT got off to a quick start with a good run poorly defended against leading to an early capture and were looking in control after 5 minutes but some intense fighting somehow resulted in bzi sneaking a capture and getting our noses back into the match. We pressed on the offensive and came very close capping with their flag sitting next to a pyramid in front of our base for a long time but some great defense lead to SNT rescuing it and with only a few minutes left a draw looked likely. Both sides refused to settle for this and went on the offensive leading to a collision of flag runners in a match deciding 2v2 conflict in the middle. BZI emerged victorious and managed to press home for a capture with 25 seconds left and a hard fought victory.

Match 5: BZI vs SNT

BZI: hiya, rabbit
SNT: Admirarch, Sweating bullets
SNT win 7-1 (Please see comments before getting surprised and/or confused)
30 minute match.

This was a fairly typical SNT vs BZI match with Admirarch and SB heavily outshooting and outcapturing their opponents who managed just a single consolation cap.

SNT - To Die Another Day

Bzi: Admir & essy
SNT: greeter & gummy
Length: 30 minutes (omg, gummy did a 30 minute match?!)
Weather: Beautiful & sunny
Another tie: 4-4

After a previous tie between these 4 players, SNT demanded a grudge match, which we obligingly offered. It was another nailbiter for sure! BZi took at early 2-1 lead, which they lost shortly after SC's cellphone went off and fell on her kb. A bit distracting for sure. Then after an ill-timed tk and a bad decision (both by the author of this report), SNT took a seemingly winning 4-2 lead.

However, Bzi knuckled down and managed to slip two more caps by the stunned SNTs, waving hello at greeter and watching as gummy was stuck to the wall. Midway through one of the fierce battles, the server jumped a bit (again!). The match ended with both flags being battled over near SNT's base. All in all, an enjoyable and challenging match!

SNT = Super Nice (not!) Tanks

bzi: [dmp] & SC
SNT: greeter & gummy (if you can't figure out who gummy is, try reading some earlier match reports v. SNT)
Weather: raining cats, dogs and tank pieces
Length: 15
meanies won 3:1

After a few map changes (mostly before any of us were there) and then one more superkill for good measure (and because flag spawns were broken), we ended up with a wide open map in the middle and lots of buildings and pyramids along the sides. The match was short and fun. One of these days, we'll get gummy to play a full 30. ;)

SNT gets its revenge (TWICE!)

Match 1:
bzi: Admir & essy
SNT: greeter & 'eater
weather: cool and breezy
Length: 15
Map: very much disputed. It was wide open with a few blocks along the edges. Both greeter & 'eater asked for a new map, but bzi wanted to try it out. After a long negotation, we played it
Score: SNT wins 2:0

Despite having taken away 'eater's greatest advantage (rico), he still managed to find a few. On the whole, not a bad revenge match for SNT.

Match 2:
bzi: Admir & essy
SNT: greeter & pk
weather: dark and gloomy
Length: 15
Map: a new one, of course. Part of the negotiation in the other match was that a rematch would be on a new map.
Score: SNT wins 6:0

essy managed a mere 6 kills the entire match, 1 per SNT cap. To this reporter and the crowd, it was clear SNT meted out its revenge for the earlier match report. Still, despite their vicious ricos, excellent teamwork and downright refusal to die, SNT played well and were rather fun to watch explode (all 6 times).

P.S. Despite SNT's victories on the scoreboard, bzi was, as always, morally victorious!

SNT slips

After many matches in recent weeks in which SNT clearly showed its superior skill, spawns and even smiles, today, they slipped a bit when they allowed BZinc to tie in a hard fought 15-minute match. Playing on an anti-Admir server (proxs), SNT tried their best to hold the heroic bzis at bay, shooting them in the back, sneaking shots on ridiculous ricos and even using the spawn code to their best advantage.

Bzi, though, despite SNT's best efforts, even went so far as to move its flag from one corner to another - to their advantage. The crowd at the match went wild whenever bzi scored, and of course, booed vehemently on SNT caps. Bzi, showing their good sportsmanship, asked the crowd to politely golf clap whenever SNT scored, instead of booing.

The match particulars:
bzi: Admir & essy
SNT: greeter & juicyfruit
Length: 15
Tied score at 2:2
Weather: fair, lightly breezy, with the sun always shining in SNT's eyes

SNT vs BZi

SNT: orange, hiya
BZi: SportChick, Sleeping Bullets

A really tired reporter reporting on this 15 minute match. BZi ended up on the losing side of 4-1, but given that SC was really playing 2 against 1 for most of the time. SB was busy finding creative ways to die needlessly.

But fun as always, and we got a good solid cap in :-)

Match Report: SNT

bzi: Admir & SC (aka SportComa)
SNT: orange & chief meanie (that's toki to some of you)
Length: 15 minutes
Weather: Very foggy
SNT won 4:1
Map: extremely cluttered with buildings in the middle (a map I normally would love but was too tired to do much with)

Chief Meanie agreed to take a short break from his overwhelming work load (which, of course, is probably something like cracking the whip on poor helpless tankers or shooting chicks in the back - from his bztank, of course) to match the incers on their quest to reach Bz-Inc's millenial match. He brought along a nut..or was it a fruit...to be his mate. Chief Meanie and his nutty partner used the map to great advantage. Sadly, the spawn goddess seemed to be missing the entire time - perhaps she was lost in the fog with SportComa. When the fog cleared, the match was over and the good guys had lost the battle.

Match SNT BZI

SNT : Orange Tokimi and hiya
BZ-inc: Sportchick, Admirarch and Thonolan.

15 min (thank god) Match score : SNT 3 : BZ-inc 0

SNT played well and concentrated. BZ-inc couldnt create a good teamplay. Thonolan made to much teamkills in importand situations. Server was lil hopping so we had a few breaks.

More SNT matches

SNT: tokimi, hiya, orange
BZI: Admirarch, bernie, sweating bullets
SNT win 6-0
15 minute match

Nothing to see here, move along now.

SNT: hiya, tokimi, orange.
BZI: Sportchick, Admirarch
SNT win 4-1
30 minute match

Now this one was a bit more noteworthy. Hiya and orange started because tokimi was faint from hunger (or some lame excuse). They capped a couple of times fairly quickly so we began to bore them to death by sticking flags in opposite corners and forming a defense tighter than a clam on steroids. At this point Sportchick awoke from some form of coma and, having attained some higher bzstate began killing things. Lots of things.

We promptly captured and things were looking up which meant that tokimi, meanie in chief, was summoned to the fray in order to squash our great, glorious and thoroughly deserved comeback. What we ended up with was a close match where either team could have sneaked it and where BZI were once again morally victorious. Unfortunately we weren't technically victorious but one can't have everything.

Match Report: SNT

BZI: bernie, Sweating Bullets, & SportChick|Admirarch (subbed)
SNT: hiya hiya, orange & tokimi
Length: 30 very long, mean, minutes! :)
Result: SNT won 10:3

SC started the match since Admi was off cooking (we think) but then subbed out around 2 minutes into the match. SNT played very tough and when Admir's dish was finished, he subbed out and SC struggled to resume her spot - which was difficult since an application had her windowed at the time he asked for the sub.

There was a lag glitch mid-match and a few didn't notice the call for stop. Then some confusion as to whether we were resuming 3v3 or 2v2. All in all, it was a bit confusing but fun.
